The 284 Munros look certain to be no more tomorrow. There will be 283 or 285, but no more 284. The new number will be announced at a press conference called by the Munro Society, following a survey of four hills, three of them Munros, and one Corbett.
I’ve only climbed one of the four – Sgurr nan Ceannaichean – on a wintry day last December, one of the finest mountain days I’ve ever had. It would be a shame to lose it. Still, a Munro lost will be a Corbett gained. We’ll see tomorrow.
I don’t know If I said it already but …I’m so glad I found this site…Keep up the good work I read a lot of blogs on a daily basis and for the most part, people lack substance but, I just wanted to make a quick comment to say GREAT blog. Thanks, 🙂
A definite great read..Jim Bean
